a few questions

hello my screen name is kittyo74 but my real name is katherine . as a child we had lots of chickens for egss and to raise for meat. just a good ole country girl

. lol i am looking to start my own chicken farm. for both eggs and meats please dont judge me for it. what breed types do you recommend. i would like to have several breeds for both. i am starting out with a 10' x 14' run but have the property to go way bigger. just want to get my birds established. any info and help would be appreciated. also i live in northern Mississippi and was wondering if someone could recommend a hatchery thank you

thanks for the help i laid out my run today and decided to go bigger anyway it is now a 20 x 20 . when i laid the other out it just looked to small lol

play alot of xbox . i am worried about possums though we have an excess of them this year.. and snakes. i know how to possum proof the run and coop but how do u keep snakes out of the run and coop ?
