A Fowl Guy

Here are some of my birds! Excuse the poop, been keeping them in the run and coop since we’ve had some terrible temps. The three guineas are named Larry, Moe, And Curley.

Love Larry, Moe, and Curly. My SO want to have them... but not sure how much our neighbors would enjoy it. So it's on the "not quite sure" list.

How do you like your threesome? I have heard the in general Guineas don't do all that well with chickens and tend to be a bit mean toward them. Just curious and learning more about these dinosaur headed birds.:plbb

I raised mine with the chicks so they are very easy with my chickens. My big rooster, General Tso, bosses them around. They are noisy but I do not have ticks anymore. They just wander our 6 acres so they are like big vacuums.

That's great to hear. We fortunately *knocks on wood* do not have a tick problem on our property. Been up in and about all our trees on the property this year and not a tick in sight. Which I am very happy about. Dealing with other vermin so I am glad that particular problem skipped our property.

They also handle snakes and rats and mice. They are tiny little raptors haha! They are very flighty since I didn’t hand raise them.
