A FOX killed this morning....:-((

they come in at minimum human activity, daylight and dusk have nothing to do with it. I only caught 46 this past season ( 39 greys and 7 reds) I really did not try very hard

Wow! how did you catch them?

Last night, well early in the morning just after daybreak I went out to wait for the fox and it had already killed one of the hens that came out of the shed early. Sat there and ate the WHOLE chicken, everything except feathers and gizzards!!

Bones and all... and came right up next to my house to do this!!

It also tore off part of the lower fencing that I had attached to the bottom of my 5' chain link pen to keep raccoons from pulling any chickens through. Grrrrrrrrrr. No chickens were out in the pen yet and it still did this trying to unsuccessfully get to their houses. Must be awfully hungry or very mean. I put two strands of hot wire up around the shed where I have a goose and two hens sitting. Rest of them are all put up safe. I will be up BEFORE dawn this morning. Just cannot have this.

My geese do not want to even go to the pond, which is about 250 ft. from my back door and I have the 3 female ducks put up. The one that was with the boys laid an egg and is sitting...maybe she will have some of their babies. I hope, I hope

They were wonderful, comical and very brave ducks and I miss them terribly.

I'm so sorry, I lost my Daisy duck to a fox in January - it came into the garden at 11am. I managed to get it to drop her but she died in my arms. I hate foxes.

Sorry for your loss. I've been "watching" two of those sly things, but no shot opportunities yet. This time of year they're more noticable during mid-day because they have young ones needing to be fed.

It has been coming around 4:30AM the last three mornings...killed another hen sitting in an igloo doghouse right by my front door with the lights on! We been sitting out every night since...I saw it two nights in a row but couldn't get a good shot. We will try again tonight..supposed to rain hard but that is when it killed my ducks, in the pouring rain but around 9am.

Am sooo angry

and sooo tired. Everything is locked up. Brought my goose who just hatched 4 adorable babies into the house, along with the female duck who is now sitting on 4 eggs. Maybe they will hatch and I will have little ducklings by Houey and Louie.

I miss them so much.

I HAVE TO GET THIS FOX SOON.

Is that Daisy in your photo? She is beautiful. Am so sorry for your loss. I have to get this fox soon, am getting wore out sitting outside waiting every night. Not much cover here to hide behind near the pond, which is where it is coming up from.
