I recently built a A-frame chicken coop. Do I need to have windows on my coop? I thought they just use a coop to sleep in at night. Some help on this topic would be great !

Absolutely put in a window or two. They like to look out of mine and I also have an A Frame. The increased light will also help them lay more during the months when the suns sets earlier.
Be sure and seal really well around the window frame. That was the toughest part of putting a window in for me.

Oh how I WISH I had windows in my coop. It's inside a barn, but the spot my partner picked for it doesn't have windows. Seeing how dark it was going to be, even though there is light that can be seen through the venting, I suggested we add a screen door to the outside, which has made all the difference, but we are SO supplementing light in the winter...

Sigh.
