I am nervous about anna... I was never in a hurricane until rita and then turned around and Ike... so we are watching it really close... I rode out both hurricanes because hubby is in the fire department... I will probably ride out the next one.. the only good thing would be we need the rain....

I dont remember one ever forming out there the way this one did!

I saw the wind blowing a little bit yesterday morning, felt odd, then inthe shower just the color of the morning sky, thought to myself, man, if I didn't know better, Id think there was a big storm brewing. Then my hubby told me the news! Weird, haven't checked out the paths of the other storms out there yet. Supposed to have one near south FL by the end of the week still?

I don't stress much about the storms that are cat 1, take precautions, stay inside etc etc. But here in Pinellas, its a peninsula, and if wind gets to a specific speed, they close the bridges. And there are a lot of low areas. So if we all needed out last minute, it would be a tad difficult!

Good point, I lived inland quite a ways, there was a beach on Tampa Bay about 1/2 hour away, so there wasn't much to worry about with storm surge and such. But I can see why you would be concerned. My feelings on hurricanes would probably be different had I lived on one of the islands.
