Most geese love babies, you'd have to introduce slowly but i bet your goose would love some companionship of it's own kind. Do you know of Carolina Water fowl rescue? they are outside of Charlotte. They may be able to take your goose or know someone willing.

She might be a bit aggressive right now because it is mating season and her hormones are starting to rage. She would be more likely to accept a gosling than a yearling. Geese can try to parent goslings and even ducklings who are not their own.

Hi ermer. I may have this all wrong, but was it you that posted for a home for your goose? do I remember right that it´s just a youngster, less than a year, or thereabouts? Are you sure it´s a female? I ask this because a female is not normally aggressive, especially if it´s just a youngster.
Now, a youngster may not be too brilliant with a tiny baby at first, you´d need to keep an eye on them. But 2 geese (not 2 ganders, though!)are better than one, for sure. I hope you soon get success.

Yes, I'm trying to either find a home that I find good enough for her or figure out the best companion for her because I'm pretty positive I have a bigger and nicer place to bring her. Everyone is telling me she's a girl but I have thought she may be a boy a few times, mostly because of her recent testiness. I hear that's pretty common when they get to be around a year though, so I'm not 100% sure either way. There is so much info about raising geese and their behavior, hard to know what's what.
