A friends 10 week RIR

hello!

My friend has 3 Rhode Island reds that are 10 weeks old from our local feed store. One of the birds looks different from the rest... sort of a necklace and dark tail feathers. What do the awesome folks in the forum think?

Black in the hackles, wing, and tail is common with hatchery type RIRs.

I assume you are wanting us to focus on the one in the foreground. I see nothing that suggests it's a cockerel.

Yes... thanks! They have a mix of 6 birds. We’re thinking there may be one or two cockerels but no one was sure on this one!
