A friends ducks keep dying

I wish I knew more about diseases. Do you know if the ducks free range? The only thing I can think of is that they're getting into something poisonous. That's almost what it sounds like anyway.

She says its not an issue with feed. And there is nothing poisonous or harmful that she knows off that they could be eating. They have a enclosure, so that at least limits what they could be finding.
Thank you for the links, I'll pass them on and check them out myself. We dont live that far from each other, so hopefully this isnt something my birds could pick up.

Some toxins act very quickly. There are also viruses that can be fatal. The way to know what's going on is to take one of the bodies for a necropsy.

If they have recently opened a bag of feed, there could be a problem with the feed. That happens sometimeas.

Have they weighed the ducks? Are they normal weight of have they been losing weight? Have they had stools tested for parasites?
