~ A *Fun* Thread~ How about compiling a GREAT list for *Treats*

All the *treats* we love to spoil our chickens with

I thought it would be cool to have everyone list what they
feed their chickens other than the normal layers feed and scratch!
I do spoil mine with a pan of fresh baked homemade cornbread
every other day. I feed scraps from the kitchen, and veggies from
the garden. I buy cantelopes and watermelons for them.
We also planted watermelons and sunflowers for them

My hubby thinks I am nuts for buying cornmeal to bake the
cornbread for them. I figure the better I feed them, and also
spoil them that they will lay me more eggs! It must be working
because today so far I have 16 eggs

So give me some ideas, what else do chickens like to eat?

I posted this on another thread, but here it goes again. I hope you don't mind, but it was so much fun to watch them...
Yesterday, I took my silicone bundt cake pan and filled it with water and alot of veggies leftovers and froze it. Today I flipped it over, it came out easy and I put it on a big baking dish. It kept them cool while giving them a long time of entertainment. It was a big hit. Chicken popsicle!

Oh what a wonderful idea you had

I will have to remember that because I have a bundt cake pan also! Thanks for the idea
