A funny thing happened on the way to the ......Incubator/Brooder.

I am in the middle of a staggered hatch. I had chicks that hatched last Friday and I have eggs due to hatch this Friday.

I thought I had all the eggs clearly marked and physically separated in the incubator, but nature has it's ways I guess.

I woke up this morning with a chick running around my incubator!!!!

I don't know if it is 3 days late or 4 days early, but it was a nice clean hatch.

Hmmmmmm......now I wonder if I have some alzhiemer's kicking in and maybe I didn't always set on a Saturday????

Trouble is.....I don't know if I should lockdown early. I guess if I get home tonight to either a pip or a chick, I had better do something

errrrr... what actually happen? sorry, I didn't catch it. Are you forget the lockdown or it's kind of too fast hatching?
