I am always pretty careful when I put my hand in htere. The biggest bird was on that nest, so when I put my hand in, high enough to not grasp poop, I got a handful of feathers and a man hen.

If I stuck my hand in on one of my EE I’d be pulling back a nub…those girls are mean!!!

I tried a couple of times to reach under an EE to feel of an egg and they would grab the skin on the back of my hand and I swear they would shake their heads like a dog killing a rat.

I can reach under the Black Australorps, the New Hampshire Reds and the Buff Brahmas no problem but those EEs will go for the kill if you try to take their eggs.
