A good chicken breed?

I have 2 welsummers who lay beautiful brown spotted eggs. They are both very sweet, and are beautiful. My Ameraucana's lay beautiful greenish blue eggs. Their colors just glisten in the sun. I have one that loves to be petted the other not so much. My Buff Orpington also lays beautiful eggs she is a great producer. She is sweet, but is also very bossy. She likes to play take away. My Light Brahma has the most personality. I love her feathered feet. She also loves take away. Daisy is my largest girl. When she hears my voice she comes running. I love the way she runs, it makes me laugh so hard. She loves when I shake the meal worm bag. Sometimes I do it just so I can see her run as fast as she can. My Cookie is the sweetest, she took care of the youngest chicks. She is a Maran Cuckoo. I chose all my chickens for being great producers, calm and docile. I wanted them to be able to all get along together and it has held true so far. I know there are many other breeds that would work also. I hope this helps.

For personality and good laying qualities I like the Buff Orpington.
My giant Cochin's lay about 3 eggs each a week and are medium sized eggs. Great personality but not as people friendly as the Orpington.
The Brahma lay OK with 4 to 5 eggs a week each. Definitely not high quality birds here but nice and mellow. Good pet quality is what I have.

My favorites thus far have been my blue copper marans (she was a cull from a breeder--wry tail)--very friendly and curious, and my barred rock, who is a bit bossy and greedy but friendly and social to me. I have some crested legbar pullets now that seem promising for personality--I renamed one Honey Badger, because she's pretty fearless, and likes to sit on the arm of my chair with me. My EE is a champ layer but basically feral. I think sometimes it depends on the individual chooks. Good luck!

I really like a mixed flock, so if you have room, check out some chicken charts, the number and kinds of chickens out there is amazing! Measure your set up and remember, that there needs to be addition and subtraction to chicken math. Other than that, there are lots of interesting birds. I have had a flock for years, but the birds come and go.

Faverolles are one of my favorite breeds, they are super friendly and run up to greet me everyday and they often jump up on my lap/shoulder, they aren't the best layers but they are super cold hardy which is a plus if you live somewhere cold but I've never really had a problem with them getting too hot but I'd recommend giving them extra water in the summer just to be safe because they are very fluffy and can overheat easier than your australorps. They are so docile that they are prone to being bullying by other chickens but other docile breeds such as cochins but I think they'll get along ok with your australorps (I've actually never had australorps but they seem really docile) but I'd keep an eye on them around your red stars. I would recommend them to almost everyone because they are just such great birds!

My Easter Egger is really sweet, I pick her up to cuddle her every morning and I hear it's a common trait for the breed. Lays every day. Barred Rocks are great too. Mine is bit flighty but a great layer. I've heard things about Buffs and Brahmas.
I love my EE too! I have 11 of them and most lay blue eggs. One or two lay pinkish colored eggs. They have the most variety in color - I even have a white and purplish colored one! They are also interesting to watch as they interact with the other birds and with me.
