Does anybody know of a safe, cheap egg stamper for keeping dates? I browsed Amazon and found a good one- but it's 20 bucks and I'd prefer something cheaper. Any info and reviews are helpful! (If I have to, can I use a classic China-marker? I've used them for hatching eggs but not for refrigerator eggs.)

Are you talking about something to put the date on the egg itself? I just write the date in pencil... but I don't get many eggs. Will watch this thread, hoping to get a lot more eggs soon! :pop

Something like that. I normally store my eggs in a steep Rubbermaid container. Stamping one egg in a container of 9 I get in one day would be enough of an identification for me to work with- meanwhile, if a container has mixed dates, I can stamp a couple of eggs.

Ah, I see. I hope that you're able to get more eggs soon! :) My hens jump back an forth in production. This summer, I've been getting a good amount. But when it gets too hot... they don't wanna know nothing!
