I've recently found out that my favorites speckled Sussex has been acting quite different. For example, when I try to pick her up, she runs as fast as she can. While in the past, she would bend over and let me pick her up. I'm not sure if it's just because she's about to start laying in 2-3 months, but I'm sort of concerned. Thank You!!

At that age, teenage hormones have set in and they act standoffish. She'll come back around when she starts squatting and gets close to the point of lay. Mine would literally crawl in my lap if I sat on the ground with them! It's happened with every flock I've raised.
