Oh Sara, that would be tough! I know it's easy to wonder what you could have done differently, but try to stop those thoughts. They won't get you anywhere (trust me, I'm bad about that myself). Like others have said, it was his time to go.

So true. M grandpa had a heat attack IN FRONT of a hospital in his car. EMT were there within 90seconds, guess what ? He still died.
You can be glad that he managed to pull over before he ran into other cars. It could have been a friend , family member or neighbor of yours that he saved.
wow that is strange and unnerving. As for if he needed help probably nothing you could have done. The fat that he even pulled over is amazing. I am sure it was fast though if he had not tried to exit the car or call anyone. When my Grandfather died of a heart attack he sat up in bed put one leg on the floor and then died. Probably was only under a minute from when he woke to when he passed away.
know this wont make you feel better but I dont think there would have been anything you could have done.

KInd of like my grandpa. The last thing he did was start the car and then he all sudden stepped on the gas pedal and died. THe engine reved up and he rolled against the next car.
I'm feeling much better about it today. Thankfully he had time to pull over, and no accidents occurred because of it. I hope his family is ok, and finds peace.
I agree with what everyone else has said. It was his time to go, and there's probably nothing you could have done. God would have put you in the position to do so, had you could've saved him.
It's also phenomenal he pulled over.
I know that's got to be really unnerving, and I wouldn't be able to sleep either. Any decent human being would be feeling awful about it, and I'm sure pretty helpless. I'm so sorry it happened.
We live across from a disabled person home, and they're a man that had a problem with his brain, fainting out of no where. We have a big lake with a hill. He was driving down the road and he slid down the hill and right into the lake! No news or anything, just a amblunce and the police. It was VERY scary!
