A Hawk tried attacking my pug 2 days ago

actually I'm quite serious. and on another note, if this offends some people this much, then I'll just remove the post. I was just honestly looking for an answer not a fight. I'm honestly a pretty passive person, most of the time. I've already informed my local wildlife agency and as far as all the legalities go, I'm fine.

Edited to remove name calling

Congratulation redhead......i'm glad you were able to legally handle the problem and protect your dogs. I would suggest just cooking it like you might a pheasant or any small bird

I hope you post back if it was tasty

I hope you dont delete your post because if we all deleted posts that someone did not like, we might end up deleting BYC

I'm not offended at all, I just wanted to be sure that you understood the legalities because you posted on a board that gets lots of attention. Federal trumps state and local law in all cases. I'm by no means a "tree hugger". (Far from it if you knew me) I was just trying to help you. Good luck to you. I don't know if there are any recipes for hawk.

LoL I see your point on that one, don't worry I will...I might try letting it marinate overnight and then roasting it, but we'll see. It'll prolly be dinner tomarrow, I'll even take pics if I can find batteries that work for my camera.

I can never find good AA batteries when I need em and my cam eats em like you wouldn't believe

And buster, the comment I made wasn't really directed towards you, just more or less the people who sent me certain comments that weren't appreciated and towards any future ones of the like. Like I said, I was just curious (I reckon curiosity killed the cat on this one) lol and was somewhat clueless as to what seasonings ect. would be good on it, it's not like i'm making a habit of killing hawks...I'd prefer to shoot a deer IN season, than something I don't even know how to cook LoL and I haven't been hunting since I was 8yrs old and I'll be 23 in 6 days

If the hawk was skinny perhaps he had some sort of sickness or internal parasite. Is that possible? If so, maybe it would not be healthy for you to eat him.
