A hemp question

I've seen that some people are using hemp for bedding. I have been thinking of maybe using it in the nest boxes. Will they be kicking this out also like the other stuff or trying to eat it too?

Mine have shown zero interest in eating the hemp. I don't use it in the nests though as I still have some wood shavings to use up - might try it in nests once the shavings are gone.

Oh mine will still kick nesting material of any sort out. But they'll drag some new stuff in too (they get bored sitting there so they pull in bedding from the coop floor, as my nests are at floor level). By 6 months or so, it looks more like a wild bird's nest with twigs and feathers woven in.
