a home made chicken feeder I can trust

I wanted to say but forgot what a great idea Rooster-Red on the 4" PVC pipe. If you don't mind I would like to replicate your idea. My feeder is wood with a slanted top but the chickens always find a way to sit on the top. You can imagine what a mess they leave.

Thanks alot everybody

I went to Lowes and got a 30 gallon rubber trash can,an aluminum round hot water heater pan and one big bolt and nut.I think it was a 12 mm.Drill a hole in the center of the botttom and also in the drain pan.Fatsen it with the bolt and nut and then cut out two holes at the bottom on the side for the feed to dispense. It hold about 100 lbs of feed at the time and I think I had about $30 in the whole thing. It works great and I don't have to feed everyday.
