Get someone else to help--one person hold the bird and gently separate the feathers so that the skin shows. Have the other person take a photo. The larger the resolution the better, so you may need to adjust your camera to take a high resolution photo.

Your bird is sick, I think you have something else to worry about than just its beak.

I said in another post of the OP that I had a bird that died of Cocci with the same symptoms/looks as this bird here.
