>~* A Howl At Midnight>~* A FORGOTTEN DOGS ROLEPLAY!

Coal landed in a hunter's crouch, her teeth snapping shut where West's throat had been a heartbeat before. Her eyes widened in maniacal rage and, with an earsplitting roar, she reared, fully intent on killing him this time.
Killdeer sprang onto Coal's back and snapped onto her neck, mostly grabbing her thick pelt. Both of them fell backwards, and Coal landed on top of Killdeer with a heavy thud. The long-legged coyote easily squirmed out from under the huge wolf-dog, and she called out to West. "Come on, we can get her together!" she yapped, pushing him to his feet.
Coal stood up dizzily and shook her head.
West stood up beside Killdeer. "Thanks Killdeer", said West. He then lunged toward Coal.

~Rip-tide hurtled to Coal's side, bloodied saliva spewing from his jaws. Having just killed a wolf, no matter the guilt he felt, his blood was up and all he saw was a need for more destruction. His jaws snapping wildly, he rammed into West, his hatred for the guile canines that had stolen his beloved daughter bubbling over into lethal ferocity so unlike his passive bloodline. "Die, coward, die," he hissed, his eyes gleaming unnaturally as his jaws snapped, finding their targets occasionally, but heedless of how he was leaving himself unprotected by his crazed offense attack. Blood roared in his ears, drowning out all the sounds of battle. For all he knew right now, this coyote was simply the Notails that had taken his beloved Sun away... and there was no way, by the paws of Sirius, if he had any fur left on his pelt, that he was going to let them get away with his daughter too.~

(It's so epic... *has no idea how to respond. )

(RIVER)
~Nighthawk impatiently scuffed her paws in the sand, raring to go kick some wolf butt. "Alpha," she tentatively queried, failing to sound calm in her usual infallibility. "We are still going... right?"~

~Hawk narrowed his eyes at the seeming impudent young she-dog. "Shut your muzzle," he snarled unevenly, unable to mask his own impatience, marching up to Nighthawk and glaring at her belittlingly. "I'm not only your superior... I was your packtor." He turned away, tail flagged high. "Remember that, Nighthawk."~

~Ash glared at her former... friend in disgust, and turned back to her sister, patiently waiting for her verdict. Her heart studded unevenly, but there was no way she was going to let the same anxiety that ailed every canine here bubble over in her and plague her assertive stance.~

~West let out an occasional whimper in pain. Trying to fight back, he landed a scratch here-and-there... But nothing major.~
