A Journey Through a Different Way - Funny Story Pg. 69

Hi Jean - unfortunately that's what I've been doing. I've been stacking boxes in the dining room and an upstairs bedroom thinking "I'll go through them later". Well now I have 50+ people coming for Labor Day weekend and I now need that bedroom and dining room. So now I think I'm going to rent a storage unit and just stuff the stuff in there. If I don't get to it in the next 100 years, I'll have an auction and auction it off as "mystery boxes".

I was kind of sad to see him disappear also. He fit right in with all the other dogs, cats and crazy barnyard flocks.

I think he went back to where he came from. Everyone I asked about him told me not to chain him or lock him up (which we were doing) and he'd probably go home - that hunters don't dump good hunting dogs (not sure if he qualified for that title) - but I do know that when we would go for walks, he would take off baying into the woods and you could hear him for miles - same thing every night. So he could have gotten himself into a tangle with a bobcat or pack of coyotes or bear - or - he could have gone home - or - some hunter might have taken the opportunity to get a free hunting dog. We were leaving him unchained when he returned the second time and he only stayed a couple of days.

I like to think happy thoughts about Butler and who knows, he may just come visit again sometime.

at least he knows where to get a good meal if he needs one. no telling where a beagles nose will take him.

is a crazy goat lady better or worse than a crazy cat lady, you know, on a scale of 1-10?

Give me time and I'll probably hold both titles along with "Crazy Chicken Lady" which is what my kids call me already - and they were worried I was going to be "Crazy Cat Lady" when they were all grown and gone - boy I showed them - only own two cats - own hundreds of chickens.

Well tomorrow starts a wonderful, blessed journey for me - I'm going to be a grandmother. My oldest daughter, who is 29 and has been married for 7 years, and kept saying she was NEVER having children, is FINALLY having a baby. It's a baby girl, named Khloe and they will be inducing tomorrow (July 30th) at 3:00 a.m. so I'll be in Baton Rouge all day tomorrow with my daughter, awaiting the birth of my granddaughter and then I'll be staying with them over the weekend when she comes home to help out and play "Sitty" (Lebanese word for Grandmother). I'm so excited.

Would you all say a little prayer that everything goes well for mom, daughter, and "Sitty".

Thanks Beefy - boy that sounds weird "Grams". I just made 50 but it seems like only yesterday I was a young woman of 20 having my daughter. Where did the 30 years go? Now she's going to be a mama and that sounds even weirder.

Monique, I am so happy for you. I was 42 when my Granddaughter was born and 44 when my Grandson was born.

I love your Granddaughter's name it is so pretty. My Granddaughter's name is Hazel Rayne and my Grandson's is Arcamedias Thomas, they call him Arc, I use his full name.

You wait there is nothing like hearing your Grandbabies call your name when you come in the door.

They call me Mam Ma and I just love it that they chose a special name for me.

Saying prayers for all, Blessings for tomorrow and remember that waiting and watching our children in pain is not easy, but the results are sure worth it. I will be praying and thinking of you all day. Kiss Khloe for us and tell your daughter we all said congrats and welcome to mother hood.
