If you order from there site its on sale for 99.00... I bought one this week too. Bill

I currently have 32 eggs in mine, 30 standard eggs and 2 bantam eggs. Its my first hatch.

OK NOW i'm between the ECO and ADVANCE...since i'm all crazy over the humidity problems i've had...wonder if it will be worth the extra $$ to have the digital humidity control to check over my shoulder... AND that way I can add the external water reservoir later on if i choose to...maybe i'm just wasting the money...

I figured I'd start with the ECO, knowing it should be a great improvement to the Little Giant styrofoam unit I've been using. If it's not all that I hope it to be, I'll order the Advance. One can never have too many incubators!!! Or you can always sell the ECO and upgrade that way.

How hard it is to monitor/control the humidity on the eco? I don't think it has a humidity monitor.

so, here's my situation: I've looked at incubators a little before, but never seriously, thinking: why would I want to pay $10 (or whatever) for a hatching egg, when I can buy chicks for $2.50?
This thread about Trader Joe's and others' fertile eggs hatching has really got me thinking. If I can hatch 6/12 eggs, for around $2.50/dozen, that's way better. Not that I need more chickens (can you have too many :p ), but actually, right now my son has a 5th grade science project due next month, and I thought this would make a really neat experiment, considering how much he already has learned about chickens, and enjoys them.
SO: the nuts and bolts of it is this: I was thinking of buying the Little Giant. I'm not the type that likes to buy multiple things on the way 'up' however, I like to get what's good, first off. So, Is there another step up from the Little Giant I would be satisfied with more? I can handle turning the eggs 3 times/day, that's no big deal. What do you hatchers say? thanks!

I have this model Brinsea, I love it, it is easy and worry free, one note, use store bought filtered water to run through the humidifier or else the tube will get clogged with minerals after a few uses if you have really hard water like we do here!
