They will be 4 weeks tomorrow. I tried to take pictures of them but some where easier than others…so had to improvise on some.

I’m not too worried about the gender right now…only because I know that will be a little later. I really want to find out what I have. I bought a rainbow mix of hens from a hatchery. And did I get a rainbow. I know I have Easter Eggers, I believe the twins are Welsummers, and a French black maran, Road Island Red.

One of my problems is that I have what could be barred Plymouth Rock. However, I have 4 with what is basically the same pattern. 2 have yellow legs with black and 2 have a more lighter color with black. The combs are single, they all have a spot. Only one was a lighter grey, which you can’t really tell now. I only took pictures of 2 of the 4. I just don’t see a hatchery intentionally sending me males. I know that it can happen and I’m anticipating them but I’m pretty positive they aren’t sex links.

The first 4 are of the first one.Next 4 are more Easter Eggers.

The next one we are going to call ying yang, if her feathers stay with one side black (I doubt it but hey..).

Then an Easter egger that started out yellow, went what I thought was going to be white and started showing yellow.

The next 2 started out all black with what white is on it. Now the black is turning a brown around the neck area.

Not 100%. Easter Egger or an Ameraucana. I know there isn’t that much a difference but..there is another that kinda looks like this…but doesn’t too…

This is the other one I’m not sure if it is an EE or Ameraucana.

I can't speak to the others, but most likely the barred chicks with the yellow legs are Barred Rocks and the ones with the white skin (look at the sole of the foot), are Cuckoo Marans. A lot of hatcheries carry clean-legged Marans as well as the feather-legged French ones.

Thank you! I will take a look at their feet! I’m not sure if they have the Cuckoo Marans but I’m betting they do. Those ones have stumped me in my research.

You have a Barred Rock, Cuckoo Maran, Welsummer or Brown Leghorns (not sure which), Black Sex Link, Easter Eggers, Cinnamon Queen, French Black Maran, and Leghorns.
I didn’t even think about a cinnamon queen. I have seen the pictures but didn’t think any of them really fit it.
