A little help here please!

Idk if theirs any kind of lethal genes turkeys carry? I've never had that problem with turkeys but i know the first time I found out about it in chickens. I had a rooster and hen that 3 times I hatched eggs from the chicks would die around the 1-3 months one after another for no apparent reason, turns out that pairing was expressing a lethal gene.

Are all 4 turkeys from the same tom and hen? maybe theirs a health problem between those 2 breeding thats expressing itself?

Yes they are. If there is a health problem - what is it? To the eye & to the vets eye they seem hale & hearty. They are around 19 months old. The hen lays eggs for 3 months (one every other day) and rests for about a month after that. The Tom was molting for couple months and lost all his chest feathers & finally the tail feathers but now regained all of it back with a beautiful sheen that glistens in the sun.

What is the lethal gene & how did you find it out? Do Turkeys have any such genes - experienced folk can shed some light on this!
