Hi every one. I am a compete novice at all this and looking for some expert advice.

I recently purchased 3 silkies and was told they were all hens......the thing is that one of them is starting to look like its developing a "nobbly" area, that is gettig growing, just above the beak that extends upwards onto the head. Is this one a rooster???? She is called "Lady cluck" but fear she may be a "Lord" instead!!!! They are 15 weeks old and she is beginning to look bigger than the other 2 as well. Any help on the sex would be very welcome please.

Thank u in advance. :/

Silkies are very difficult to sex, and males may not show development until nearly adult. If you see significant comb and wattle development compared to your other birds, it is likely a little roo. Post a clear picture of the bird's head in the What Breed/Sex section, or maybe the Silkie thread, and someone should be able to help you.

Hi and :welcome

I agree, a picture would be helpful.
Silkies are pretty hard to sex. I suppose some chickens grow faster than others. You might just have to wait and see if he crows. :p
I did a search and it says the roos should have longer tail feathers than the girls, if that's any help.

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site. :D
