A little overdue, but... hi!

Well, although I have joined in and started a few discussions, I guess I have yet to formally introduce myself as a new member. My name is Hillel and I am humbly residing in Fort Worth, Tx. I have a small backyard... well farm I guess. 8 hens: 2 BOs, 2 RIRs, a buff bantam Orpington (I believe), a SLW, a barred rock, and one that I haven't been able to accurately identify. Also, 10 Coturnix quail... And a Sun Conure who keeps every one in order.

Oh, and my Doberman mix chicken watch dog who gets along just fine with my birds.

Yes, my dog makes sure that the other wild neighborhood dogs don't try to break in and go after my girls. Many times I'll come in the backyard and find my hens gathered around taking naps along side my Dobbie. Blessed to have a dog that won't try and kill my girls
