It is amazing how after days of cloudy weather, and snow and temperatures seldom above 10 degrees how a day of sunshine and 28 degrees can make you feel like working outside even in snow.

Fresh bedding in the run and in the coop. A bit of exercise and sunshine for me. I feel much better, and that is one of the big reasons I have chickens.

Funny, I picture Spain as perpetually sunny and warm.

March here is the snowiest month. Just got a foot last night, so it may be just a preview of next month. The chickens are not interested nor concerned about the blanket of snow outside their run. They're all in the warm sand, dust bathing in front of their big picture window that is letting in the warm cheerful sun.
