Hi,

I've had my chicks for two weeks now and everything seems to going fine but one of my Golden Comets is looking a little scufty. At 1st I thought it might be the loss of feathers but now I think it may be darker feathers coming in. Is this normal as baby chicks grow new feathers?

It's kinda like a pimply teenager. Yes they do go thru a rough looking stage. Not to worry. Just keep an eye out for pecking. If you see blood treat it with No-Peck or Blue Kote. It will heal sores and help prevent the others from pecking more. Good Luck and don't worry, they will be pretty again. LOL

Thanks so much. Good news is good to hear.

They're all getting along, no pecking but it's good to know about Blue Kote and No Peck.
