Remember those logic problems we had to solve as kids? I have one now, regarding hatching.
I have four staggered hatches, and three incubators.
Details:
- 10 chickens due on 15 Sept
- 40 quail due on 17 Sept (going by 18-day incubation cycle, which maybe is too long)
- 1 duck due on 18 Sept
- 6 chickens due on 21 Sept
All are supposed to go into lock down three days prior.
Humidity for quail should be as high as possible.
For ducks, 65% until pip, then 80%, then down to 70% when fully hatched.
Chickens, humidity 65%.
I have three incubators. R-Com 20, Covatutto 7, and a homemade one.
So, firstly, can I be flexible with any of these requirements?
And if not, how can I meet all of these requirements?
I had another homemade 'bator, but there were some major flaws in it. If absolutely necessary, I can rebuild it tonight, but it will be without a water wiggler and thermostat.
