To find out how to raise them just google the species you are interested in.
I've never used the commercial beds or systems advertised, I am strictly for doing it on the cheap and low tech.
I have found that mealworms are the easiest to raise.
They will eat oatmeal and wheat bran along with a carrot every couple of days for moisture.
Bought a 20 pound sack of wheat bran at the feed store two years ago and still have half left after 10,000 plus worms.
Some people sort the worms out but when I feed my chooks I just scoop out a big serving of everything, worms, beetles, and larva and toss it on the ground.
Super easy and if all else fails you can eat your worms if you have to
