It's fine to use. It's just slightly different because it has been hydrongenated, like crisco, so that it does not seperate. It is fine to soap.

You are not going to get much if any scent through infusion. But 60oz is around 1500 grams, so I would do atleast a 8oz of rosemary for the infustion. I usually on infuse for the color soap or the properties for balms, not for scent.
I think it is a must also that you use DRIED herbs so that you don't get mold and stuff.
Extras: 1 very ripe banana(do not use a banana that is green. It needs to be soft)
1 tbl honey
1/4 cup ground oats
Mix you lye and water and cool to 100.
Melt your oils and cool to 100.
Mush up the banana and add to your melted oil. Stick blend it till there are no chunks.
Add your lye to your oils and bring to light trace. Add your honey and oats. I like to hand stir at this point, seems to help it from over heating. Pour into molds and do not cover.
If you are going to use a scent, I would go with a fruity or bakery scent because the bananas give it a slight banana bread like note.

This is a great company and if you are going to order lye online, I really reccomend getting on their mailing list. They let you know when a sale is going on and have a lot of info.
They have good customer service too, very helpful when I had to change an order. If I wasn't buying in 50lb bags that have to picked up in person now, this is the company I would order from.
