A new Hobby Soap making Love it

I got my first lesson in soap making from Saddina on Sunday. I want to make more. I need molds and a stick blender and fragrances. Where do you guys get your supplies? I am hoping to make enough soaps to add them to our website.

The Sage has some nice clays.

Here's a link for you.

I LOVE, LOVE clay in soap and not just for coloring. I see no reason to only use it in shaving soaps.

BTY, you won't get much green color from French Green Clay. But it is a nice clay anyway.

Bentonite Clay NF: This National Formulary (NF) grade Bentonite clay is a green-gray color and is commonly used to provide 'slip' for easy razor gliding in shaving soaps. You can also use this to add viscosity to toiletry recipes

I'm not sure I've heard of food grade lye. I'm sure someone here will be able to affirm this for you. I buy mine at lowes. Its $11 for 2lbs. It lasts me a little more than 4-4lb batches. I've read on here that true value has it or will get it in for you. I'm not sure of the cost. Isn't shipping outrageous!

LOL Elite Silkies, I had nightmares last night about shipping lye and the cost. I always get mine local but still had a dream after I read your post.

Here is what you want: http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2845800&kw=lye&origkw=lye
No
