So... at my house we have these reading tablets. They are like phones but bigger. Its nicer because they have a big screen compared to those little midget phone screens.
Anyway, what I was told by someone is that when you leave them unattended charging, such as overnight, and when it gets to like 110%+, 120% of the charged battery status etc that they can melt and catch fire at that point. And that's how a lot of these fires are starting with lithium battery products, EVs, Ebikes, etc... many of these products have similar battery types with the lithium batteries. Some of them say they don't but it sounds like its actually salesmanship to get you to still buy them because when you look it up they are still lithium.
Anyway... these are good products if this can be managed. I'm not trying to get people to not buy them. We need energy. We can't live without energy to run machines and devices. So go ahead and use them.
But DON'T charge them above 99%. And certainly don't leave them unattended charging over night.
I still like these devices. And I have to use them. There's not a better alternative. So, this is not against said devices. But please take notice and be careful.
