A plethora of eggs; Ok, so I'm dumb

I got 3 eggs in 4 hours yesterday, from 2 hens. Is that normal?

3 eggs from 2 hens in 4 hours? I've not heard of that! I'm going to ask the question that MUST be asked: Are you sure you only have 2 hens? OK, now that THAT'S out of the way...

Positive. The 3rd is a roo who does his job very, very well. Every egg I open is fertile.

Now I was SURE I wouldn't get any eggs today since I got an extra yesterday. My dh got home at 5:30 and said we had an egg. I took it out of the hutch, and we went out to eat and run errands.

We got back at 7:30, and there were 2 more eggs! That's 6 eggs in a little over 24 hours! Are these some miracle quail or what?
