I watched as you grew, in your egg, oh so tight
I watched as you stood, so young and so bright.
I herd you chirp, to me, through the glass.
I swore then and there, not a minute would pass,
That I didn't help you , to learn and to grow
And a few weeks later, your talent started to show.
You are my buddy, strange may it be,
Those haters, oh one day, maybie they'll see.
That you are my sunshine, my light and my day,
Oh and my chicken I just had to say:
Old you may be, you no longer can fly
Left to hobble around, it makes me cry.
Thats why my dear friend, I must let you go.
To see chicken heaven, your face all aglow
Leave this petty body, so worthless now
Go be free to fly all around.
My dear friends: I've not lost a chicken lately, I'm just trying to post a few poems to honor my feathered friends. If something is happening, chin up, things will get better.
