A Polish haircut?

I don't trim at all. I kind of like being able to sneak up on them. They live in a protected coop if I am not with them, in a fenced yard.

Yeah thats when I know its time to trim. Since mine free range I prefer them to at least see the evil things before they get eaten

OMG, that's hysterical!

My poor little buff is already body slamming the coop when she gets freaked out. I can see her eyes, but apparently she's either a dingbat or she can't see! My other two don't seem to have the same problem she has, so maybe she is a dingbat lol!!

I do plan on letting them free range when I'm home, so yeah, a trim is a definite must do!

Well. They are a little dingy.

My favorite hen is polish and she has to be seperated from all the other birds in the coop. The like her hair. And it's not overcrowded. They just love to peck her so she is my friend. Her name is Polish Friend.

My Polish girl is Gilligan...and she had a haicut recently, because her fro is so heavy it's pushing her top eyelids down (more like eyebrows) *into* her eye- so it's irritated and weepy! More on one side than the other because she had a lopsided fro...so the trim took off some of the weight and she's better able to see. I was always coming out to find she'd lost the flock and was honking, alone, inconsolable.

Now she's a happy tracker again.
