A man arrives home, his car battered and covered with leaves, twigs and and blood. His wife asks what's happened and he tells her that he's just run over their state senator.
"Oh that explains all the blood she says, but what about the dents and all the leaves and twigs. Where did they come from?" she asks - - - -
"Well, he was a little quicker than I reckoned," he said. "I hadda chase him through the woods a bit before I could hit him."
