Hi, y'all!

I am starting a research project about our perceptions of color. Ultimately I'll be going into schools and creating an internet polling site. My goal is to eventually tie the findings into my teaching and professional work. For now, I am just curious to hear what you all have to say (as a varied, non-regional, eclectic group of people).
If you wish to participate, please answer the questions below. Some are pretty straightforward and some are a little more esoteric. There are no right or wrong answers. I'm just gathering information looking for trends.

Why? Don't know, that's a tough question
Has this always been your favorite color or has it changed? The shade of green has changed
At what age did it change (if it has done so)? I think the shade changed according to trends in color. As a kid I liked hunter green and teal(in the early 90s). In college I liked sage green (early 2000s) and now I like bright apple green and grass-stain green.
If you were a color, what color would you be and why? Apple green. It's bright and happy.

What is your favorite color? Purple
Why? It shows the perfect relationship between "anger" (red) and calm (blue).

It hasn't always been my favorite. I used to like blue because it had a calming effect on me.

Changed when I turned 16 years old.

I would be a green color if I was a color.


Red:
sight- looks angry, red, fiery.
sounds- like a trumpet
tastes- beef tacos from Taco Tico
Touch- sharp, warm, hard lines
Smell- like smoke from a fire
Shape- a cube with rigid lines. No leaning sides.

Blue:
sight- calming, soothing
sounds- like a bassoon
tastes- like a Baja Blast from Taco Bell
touch- smooth, even, completely movable.
smell- like grass after a rainstorm
shape- a cylinder

Yellow:
sight- bright, crisp
sounds- like a flute
tastes- like a lemon cake with lemon glaze frosting
touch- fuzzy, soft
smell- tickles your nose. A bright smell like lemons held under your nose. Too bright and it makes you cry.

Green:
sight- calming yet rigid
sounds- like a saxophone
tastes- like, well, I'd say spearmint because I'm allergic to peppermint
touch- smooth, rigid
smell- fresh cut grass

Orange:
sight- like a sunset. Bright but also dimming.
sounds- like a trombone
tastes- like a sweet and sour chicken piece...

touch- smooth and fuzzy.
smell- fresh. Reminds me of an ocean.

Purple:
sight- twilight, happy yet sad
sounds- like a clarinet
tastes- delicious, like a plum and grape put together
touch- smooth, satiny
smell- musky yet clean
shape- trapezoid

Brown:
sight- forest-like.
sounds- like a tuba
tastes- like mud, but a watery mud with clay
touch- squishy
smell- nasty.

Black:
sight- dark, faint lines
sounds- like a bass drum
tastes- like seedless cherries
touch- soft, velvety, even
smell- dank
shape- faint square but the lines wiggle in and out at will.

White:
sight- bright, too bright. You try to see outside of the white but it's blinding.

tastes- like white chocolate
touch- sharp edges, like thorns
smell- like bleach and ammonia (yes, it's Chlorine gas....)
