A poult showed up this evening that was just getting a few of its feathers on its wings.
I keep guineas and have keets at the moment so I have a brooder set up:yesss:. I just put him in a box with game bird starter and water under the heat lamp in the brooder.
I'd like advice :)

You might want to get it a friend. Little thing will be so lonely. Also make sure you see it eating and drinking. The can be slow learners sometimes.

How old is it?

Thanks!:)

It's kinda neat cause I have seen the mom already when I went fishing in the neighbors pond a little ways from our house. It was chasing our dog away:eek: it looked hilarious!

If the keets are not too much larger, I'd put the poult in with them, and just watch to make sure they don't try to attack it since it's "different." Sometimes, keets can be real poopheads.

the keets are a little to large but turkeys grow faster than keets don't they? so they will be the same size soonish (soonish) is this a new word?

Hey i am hopefully going to get a chick from one of my friends tomorrow !!
