A predator got into my first chickens coop. All of my Buff Orpingtons, Red Star, and White Leghorn b

Hi
I am very sorry for your loss I know exactly how you feel having lost all my birds to a fox attack (I live in UK) in a rural village. They are every where here you can hear them calling on a night. My heart was absolutely broken when I found they were all gone was very upset for days afterwards and the garden was just way too quiet. The blooming cheeky thing had got through the wire on the perimeter fence over the run and in to the coop killed my two warrens Amy and Penny, my silkie cross gold top Sheldor and my three gold top cross barnevelder chicks. Did nothing but cry for days cannot believe how attached I was until I lost them. The offending culprit was caught and shot coming back into my garden again a week and half later. Thanks goes to my fab fella Scott who was on full fox watch through out several nights in our garden thank goodness he is a shooting man. I really did feel like giving chicken keeping up but when your down the only way is up!!! And I have to say I think I have got the chicken bug even more now have two ambers and 17 polish.Thankfully touch wood all perimeter now secure and coops have extra bolts and checked twice at bedtime. Wishing :thumbsupyou good luck with your new birds.
