A proper etiquette question

I worked at a place that used garnish in their fresh toppings bar for frozen yogurt and we just took it out nightly and put it in a bucket of water in the walkin...so I say no! Its not treated with the respect that say salad is...and I wouldnt want to get sick!

I had a spinach salad once and I was halfway through it when I noticed a very large green larthargic worm (the salad was in the fridge) in munch mode !!!! Some respect!

DH & I are regular customers at a nice restaurant. The staff there knows to put every scrap off my plate into the doggy bag, because I let them know that I divvy the entire thing between the chooks, the dog & DH.

I think the most important ettiquette rule is to be comfortable in your own skin, while not grossing out your tablemates. Seriously.

I eat half my meal (trying not to be chunky) and then take home everything. If it is a garnish, and super-green, give it to the chickens! At work I ask the office services people to tell me when they are cleaning up meals from a meeting. I take home all the garnishes, veggie leftovers for the chooks, and office services doesn't have to clean up.

Personally, I like to eat the parsley, especially after a garlicky dish.
