I know that laying can occur at any time of day, and that since most hens' bodies take around 26 hours to finish an egg, a single hen's time for laying will vary However, what I am wondering is if there is a "usual time" for a pullet's very first egg. Do these happen most frequently in the morning, or is there no "usual time" for this significant event?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

morning is usual but not always... we usually collect the majority by 9 in the morning but sometimes they're not done until supper time.
