Wow! You put a lot into that! I think you should start a new topic and present this question to people with more experience. Not everyone who really knows about incubators would see it under this topic. I have NO experience with incubators, in fact I wouldn't even try to make one myself, but it looks to me like you are 50 - 90% of the way there!! Do you know how to start a new topic?

OK, so first you start on the page where all the duck topics are listed, you know, by clicking on where it says "ducks" in blue; then on the right side a little ways down you will see "post new topic" in a yellow box. Then it's just like writing a message except you have to start with a subject title. Like maybe "Making a home made duck egg incubator".
Actually there is a whole forum other than the duck forum called w Incubating and Hatching Eggs or something, but they are usually talking about chicken eggs. Duck eggs have some special requirements so maybe it would be best to stay on the duck forum. You also mentioned hatching quail eggs, but once you can get a duck incubator figured out I think it would be easy to adapt it for the quail eggs. I don't think you would try hatching them both at the same time but you should ask experience people that question.

i really don't know anything about quail eggs, but have incubated with duck and chicken eggs. They do have different requirements for humidity, but temperature is the same. Also duck eggs and chicken eggs have different length of days. 21 for chickens and 28 for most duck eggs. They should be turned twice a day up until 3 days before the hatch day. Then you should be increasing the amount of humidity.
Since the amount of humidity is more for ducks than chickens I thinks it's hard to keep them together, but not impossible. Hopefully more people with more experience can help you especially under your new topic.

i got 2 quail eggs in the bator so far i'll be putting more in 2night when my quail lay lol and if my ducks lay 2night i'll put there eggs in there aswell tomorrow
