This is probably going to sound silly.
I don't feed my son the eggs my hen makes. I don't know why I don't. I don't really know what the difference is in what happens between chicken and fridge when they come from huge farms made for store production and what the difference is in what happens when it comes from my chicken and goes to the fridge?
Is there a difference? I mean, I've really looked at an egg and it doesn't look like you can do much to it once its been laid. So it would have to be the feed that the chicken eats to change the egg, right?
My chickens now are about half free range and in the coop the other half eating feed. I just get basic laying mash from a local grain mill.
So is it okay to feed him the eggs? He's 14 months so he eats eggs already and loves them.
Now that i think about it, its probably better he eat the homemade eggs, since I am the one that controls what she eats and I know what shes eating. Hahaha I think I just answered my own question but I would still like to hear from you guys who maybe aren't totally egg illiterate like I am.
Thanks guys!
