A question for gardeners

I wish I could cut them down, but my Dad likes them and won't let me cut them. The pot idea sounds like it would work, though. I'll give that a try and see how it goes!

If what you are trying to do most is keep the tree roots from invading into your garden area, then pots are the only solution. I have a garden outside the drip line of all trees in the vicinity, in full sun, and still have tree roots invading my garden. No wire will keep them out, only digging them out periodically or planting in pots to begin with.
