I have chickens, turkeys, peafowl and rabbits all living harmoniously in the confines of my half acre plot. I have never had any problems with the mixing of animals in regards to disease or anything like that, just wanna get that out there. But i give my rabbits a feed that costs more than the traditional chicken / turkey feed and i want that only they eat it. Does anybody have any idea on how i can go about making a rabbit only feeder while there are poultry running about, including chicks and larger turkeys? I have seen such things as treadle feeder, and spring valve pull cord type aparatuses but nothing hits me as "Rabbit only". Im thinking about a smalle diamater tube entrance type deal where only rabbits can pass (with the exception of basby chicks, and they do like rabbit feed) but i am looking for something a bit more exact, what have you all seen? I dont want to seperate / cage the animals, part of my philosphy is that all run free. How can this be done?

What about putting the food in a small open hutch or dog house?

make the openings only big enough for the rabbits to get in and out of. Should keep most out except for the really small birds.
