A rare breed that would be good in TX heat??

I have one leghorn pullet. Those Partridge look neat love those DARK eggs!!! So let me add prefer colored layers. Thanks! Also any breeders of the birds are appreciated1

As Illia already told you Gamefowl: especially Oriental Games. I know of no other breed that tolerates heat better than Oriental Games.

I also know of no other breed of chickens that has been selected for human friendliness over the centuries but Games. There are passive breeds such as Cochins or Silkies, but you gave 3 criteria: Heat tolerance, dual-purpose and human friendly. That my friend is found in Games.

Hi there! We have a bantam modern game roo that came in an assortment of bantams and he is the sweetest thing! He's about 7 months old now and when we're outside he'll come see what we're up to (No doubt looking for a treat). The games are known to be people-friendly but the roos will fight each other like the dickens!

Get a turken. They're awesome, cute, and do well in warm and cold temperatures. (Got over 100 and a little under freezing here, and mine did just fine) They're also very friendly, and are a little heavy, but they do come in a bantam variety, though.

Here's Pip,my turken rooster-
