A Recipe for Skunk Odor Removal

At 3 a.m., the night before Thanksgiving I used a similar recipe on our Lab. It worked better than anything else I have tried. Wish I had known about when a skunk sprayed the kitchen years ago. That was an intense experience to wake up to! Here is the recipe i used: 1 pint peroxide, 1/8 cup baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon Dawn dish soap.

Oh and another important tid bit

Do NOT pre mix this solution... the baking soda the peroxide will build up pressure similar to baking soda and vinegar and kaboom...lol you laundry room or cupboards will be covered.. (not a dangerous kaboom just messy)

So I always have the stuff on hand in the laundry room so I can mix as needed and not have to go looking around the house in a time of panic

Well you could premix it if your kitchen got skunked

Just mix place lid on, set in the middle of room and RUN.
