well... I've seen some red silkies.. the most commonly known ones anyway. and they were just dark buffs. but i have seen colored silkies for sure... my aunt ordered silkies from i think ideal one year and all of the silkies were, purple, blue, green, red, white, yellow, etc.. which im guessing they were dyed but the color never faded

White, Partridge, Buff, Black, Red, Blue?

Here is a photo of a red silkie. Yours could be a little lighter or a little darker...depending on the lines.

There is also the elusive bantam red silkies from the Netherlands floating around the US someplace, but they are very hard to find.

mypetchicken says they have bantam silkies in White, Partridge, Buff, Black, Red, Blue

What color do you all think i should order from my pet chicken?
thanks!

Mypetchicken gets all their chicks from other hatcheries...If you ordered red silkies, they'd come from either Ideal, Meyers, or Rochester.

Here's the closest I've had to a red
