I have a window near my computer where I can observe my 6 to about 10 week old chicks as they learn about the outdoors. I move them to this building with outside access and allow them to run the yard and learn how to forage.

They go about with their doings and seem to have a good time with each other mock fighting, chasing one another that they think has a treasure and so on. Running for cover when a passing shower comes or merely freezing when someone walks through the yard... life is good... for them and me.

Anyone else here have this view? If so please share.

After much debate on where to build the coop we decided to build it so we could watch the hens in the run from our kitchen table. It is very nice to watch the chickens while we eat or work at the table. The only catch to this arrangement is our bedroom is directly above the kitchen, and one of the pullets started crowing. That was 3 years ago, add another accidental roo and what was supposed to be a grow out pen for chicks attached to the coop is now home to roo #2 and his hens. Love watching them sun themselves while we have breakfast. The 2 roos make sure that is never too late in the morning!

Working at my desk at home (usually on computer) ....I DO NOT WANT "a view".
It is distracting.
BUT...when I reach a "Point" where ( I feel) I am NOT PRODUCTIVE......
I will "go outside" and watch the Chickens and do some of those unending "Outside Chores"....
and maybe just sit and think about "other things".

It is like a vacation.

I truly ENJOY that.

BUT, I don't recommend the sort of "views" that have been described.

It wouldn't work for me.

What was IT that I was doing? I forget. Here "chicky-chicky-chicky" .....
